2023 Handwriting Summer Camps

This camp is for children entering Pre-k to kindergarten.   Space is limited to 5 children for optimal learning.  Parents are welcome to stay to learn techniques to carry over at home, however space is limited.  We will do multi-sensory activities such as writing letters in shaving cream, using playdoh, bean bag games and songs to help learn letter formation.  There must be at least 2 students for this camp. *

Keyboarding Camp will help jump start your child's typing skills.   The focus will be on learning to type using individual finger movements.  Students will learn some fun finger warm ups, use therapy putty, play keyboarding games and have access to a typing program to use after the camp is finished.  Each student needs to have their own laptop or tablet with a physical keyboard.   Wifi is provided.   Space is limited to 6 students and  there must have at least 2 students.**

Handwriting Hero's camp is for students going into 1st-3rd grade.  This camp will focus on making the lower case letters the proper size and spacing between words.  Kids will also play games, get superhero pencils , make a craft, and  can wear their favorite super hero t-shirts, socks or costume if they want. They will learn the Handwriting Hero Rules and Superhero exercises.  *must have at least 2 students sign up**

Cursive Camp is for students whom want to learn cursive or just need review on each letter.  Most students will be grades 3rd-7th grade. Students will learn  Brain Gym exercises that prepare the brain for cursive as well as using a Fun cursive App on the iPad, and  cursive workbook.  The students will be able to play fine motor games to promote dynamic finger movement needed for cursive.

Un-Reverse Camp is for those kiddos who are going into 2rd-5th grade and still reversing letters when writing.   Specific techniques such as visual worksheets and re-learning the direction of letters using multi-sensory techniques.  Students will do activities such as walking an Infinity line and drawing Lazy 8's on the board to help form new neuro-pathways.    Space is limited to 6 students and must have at least 2 students to sign up*

Camp Write Neat is for students going into Grades 2nd-9th.  These students will be working on the areas of : letter formation, letter size, closing letters, making letters sit on the line and spacing between words and letters. They will have fun playing "Minute to Win It" fine motor games such as using tongs to pick up small pom- poms while racing their neighbor.  They will make fun crafts such a slime, lego toys and perler bead crafts and then write about it. It is a fun way to work on creative writing and joke telling while improving handwriting neatness.  Space is limited to 6 students and must have at least 2 students  sign up.***

Sign up for  8 (30 minute) Individual Handwriting Sessions for $300 ($60 off) or  Sign up for 12 Occupational Therapy (30 minute) individual sessions ($100 off) . You select the dates and times.  They can be scheduled multiple times in one week or combined for an hour session.  All payments and scheduling must be complete by June 1st, 2023.
